After several months of work, we are very pleased to announce that Ashes of the Arabian’s Pearl by Valentin Valette has now been printed and will be released soon. The launch date and venue will be announced very shortly.

Ashes of the Arabian’s Pearl is a documentary project created between 2021 and 2023 in the Sultanate of Oman. Through photographs, archives, and testimonies, it explores the country’s transition following the reign of Sultan Qaboos bin Said, between modernization, the depletion of oil resources, and social change. The project also highlights the essential role of foreign workers in the country’s development, while questioning social relations, memory, and the traces of a past in transformation.
